This contemporary 1960s home sits on a quiet lot in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Washington DC, overlooking Historic Rock Creek Park. The addition required enclosing a portion of the existing terrace to create a private guest suite and allow for the expansion of the adjacent garage to accommodate the owner’s growing collection of historic cars. The resulting addition maintains the unique stone, steel, and glass aesthetic of the original house, while providing sweeping views of the park from the guest suite through over-sized single-panel windows.
