This interior renovation transformed two residential buildings totaling 54 units, enhancing both functionality and community living while preserving the property's historic character. The project included thoughtful reconfiguration of unit layouts to improve livability, accessibility upgrades throughout the buildings and site, and the creation of new shared amenity spaces that foster resident interaction and connection.

As registered historic structures, both buildings at The Hampshire required close coordination with the National Park Service throughout the design and construction process. Careful attention was given to preserving the architectural integrity of the original buildings, with historic details meticulously restored and new interventions thoughtfully integrated to maintain the character and significance of the property while meeting contemporary needs.
